Given the Ice Hockey Championship the problem of accommodation in Minsk has become more pressing than ever. The newly built multiple star hotels have already welcomed their first visitors. However there can be more housing options for those willing to either witness a great sport event or simply enjoy Belarusian capital these days.

Couchsurfing-the world's largest travel community, which has been facilitating breathtaking travel experiences for thousands of glob trotters for over a decade.

How many of u have used it while traveling? Which criteria did u have while choosing a host? Have u urself ever hosted anyone? I encourage u to share ur experience :)

I've used couchsurfing before! Well... I searched for a couch, but my trip fell through, so I didn't need it anymore. BUT there are a lot of useful information on there, forums and so on, and most people are very friendly and help with any questions you have ;)
